Thank you for inquiring about Howard County’s award winning martial arts school. At the American Academy of Martial Arts, we believe that the benefits of a good martial arts program -- confidence, respect, self-discipline, perseverance, compassion, just to name a few – should last a lifetime.

Our program is a lot of fun! Our instructors are success oriented, highly energized, and extensively trained to work with kids in a positive manner. Each child is a winner at the American Academy of Martial Arts!

We teach the 900 year old Japanese self-defense arts of Budo Taijutsu and Ninjutsu, which incorporate a wide variety of kicking, punching, joint locks, and grappling techniques. Although the students are learning very effective self-defense techniques, our AAMA Student Creed is recited and stressed every class. Students learn to walk away or use their words to avoid fights before using their fists.
